Who is Palooke (Pa-Lou-Key)?
Once upon a time, I had dreams of conquering the world by 30, but alas, 30 has come, and I am a runaway civil rights lawyer who is not quite where I thought I’d be. Instead I find myself 30 Single Educated and Living at Home with my folks (and dog Benji). And despite my best efforts to run away, I continue to be sucked back into the work of being a civil rights lawyer.
To be sure, I’m much more than these things, but they seem to be at the forefront of my life at the moment. Fortunately, what I have come to realize is that I am not the only one on this precarious journey we call life. It is my desire to use this blog as a means by which I can reveal more of who I am, find an outlet for my many reflections on life as well as continue my advocacy work by sharing my thoughts on race and justice in America. I hope you enjoy the ride!
